Inspired by The Great North, this is a beef stew made with stewing beef made with Rajah Mild & Spicy Curry Powder and Robertsons Steak & Chops Spice. 

Tips

Serve with savoury rice. 

Ingredients
  • 30 ml ( 2 tbsp ) sunflower oil
  • 1 medium-sized onion diced
  • 1 medium green pepper diced
  • 1 medium yellow pepper diced
  • 1 medium red pepper diced
  • 15 ml ( 1 tbsp ) Rajah mild and spicy curry powder
  • 500 gram stewing beef
  • 5 ml ( 1 tsp ) Robertsons steak and chops spice
  • 2 medium tomatoes finely chopped
  • 28 gram ( 1 ) Knorr vegetables stock pot
  • 250 ml ( 1 cup ) water
  • 5 ml ( 1 tsp ) Knorr Brown Onion Soup
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil over medium/high heat, add onion and fry for 2 minutes.

  2. Add peppers and continue frying until onion is slightly browned.

  3. Add Rajah curry powder and fry for a minute. Add beef, stir, and continue frying until beef is slightly brown in colour.

  4. Add Robertsons Steak and Chops, tomatoes and cook on medium heat for 8 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft in texture and orange in colour.

  5. Add ½ a cup of water, Knorr Vegetable Stock Pot, stir, cover with the lid and simmer on medium heat for 30/40 minutes while stirring frequently.

  6. Mix ½ a cup of water with Knorr Brown Onion Soup, stir and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat or until the sauce has reached the desired consistency.
