Mutton Stew 
Ingredients
  • 5 ml cooking oil
  • 1½ onions, chopped
  • 15 ml Rajah All-in-One curry powder
  • 10 ml Robertsons steak and chop
  • 500 g mutton pieces
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 Knorrox Mutton stock cube
  • 30 ml Knorr minestrone soup
Cooking Method
  1. In a pot, heat oil and fry the chopped onion until browned

  2. Add the Rajah All-in-One Curry Powder, Robertsons Steak & Chop Spice and tomatoes

  3. Fry for about 2 minutes

  4. Add the mutton pieces to the same pot and fry until well browned

  5. Add the potatoes, carrots, water and a Knorrox Mutton Stock Cube

  6. Stir well and allow to simmer with the lid on for approximately 45 minutes or until the meat is tender

  7. Stir occasionally

  8. Mix the Knorr Minestrone Soup with 4 tablespoons of water to form a smooth paste, add it to the pot and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes, or until the Stew has thickened

  9. Serve with rice or sadza
