Aromat Peri-Peri Chicken Livers

If you enjoy spicy food, then this recipe is for you! This is a hearty dish of chicken livers with Aromat Peri Peri and prego sauce. 
Ingredients
  • 30 ml or 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp of crushed garlic
  • 700 g fresh chicken livers
  • 250 ml or 1 cup prego sauce / peri peri sauce
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 7.5 ml or 1 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 7.5 ml or 1 tsp Aromat Peri-Peri
  • 2.5 ml or 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 medium fresh parsley for garnishing
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a pan and add onions. Sauté for 5 minutes or until soft. Add garlic and sauté for another 2-3 minutes.

  2. Increase the heat and add cleaned chicken livers. Cook for 5minutes.

  3. Add prego sauce, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and Aromat Peri Peri.

  4. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes on medium heat until the sauce has thickened.

  5. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve the chicken livers with bread.
