Aromat Chakalaka with Sunrise Eggs

Chakalaka is the most famous vegetable relish in South Africa and it goes well with any starchy side of your choice. Chakalaka can be incorporated into breakfast, lunch or dinner meals. 
Ingredients
  • 60 ml or 4 tbsp of sunflower oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 cup robot peppers
  • 4 medium carrots (grated)
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp Knorr Aromat Seasoning Original
  • 7.5 ml or 1 tsp black pepper
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp paprika
  • 410 g baked beans
  • 4 cooked sunrise eggs
Cooking Method
  1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add onions and peppers and fry for 5 minutes.

  2. Add grated carrots and cook for a further 15 minutes on medium heat.

  3. Add Aromat Original, black pepper and paprika. Stir until well combined.

  4. Add baked beans allow to simmer for 2 minutes.

  5. Create four small wells in the pan and carefully place the cooked sunrise eggs.

  6. Season eggs with Aromat and black pepper and serve.
