Ingredients

1.5 kg - 2 kg chicken pieces
30 ml oil
2 onions, cut into rings
500 ml ginger beer
500 ml water
15 ml Robertsons garlic flakes
1 packet Knorr brown onion soup
30 ml tomato sauce
30 ml chutney
500 ml McCains Country Crop Frozen Vegetables

Preparation method

Brown the chicken pieces in oil, add onion and fry until onion is soft
Combine the ginger beer, water, garlic flakes, soup powder, tomato sauce and chutney
Pour over the chicken. Cover with a lid and simmer gently for about 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through
Remove the lid, add frozen vegetables and heat through for another 10 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken
Serve with mashed potato, sadza or rice
