Sit down to a delicious feast! Robertsons Braai & Grill Spicy BBQ adds amazing flavour to our local version of beef koftas. Envelope them in warm flatbreads with lashings of mouth-watering whipped coriander feta.
Ingredients

For the whipped coriander feta:

  • 80 g feta cheese
  • 80 ml (⅓ cup) plain yoghurt
  • 30 ml (2 Tbsp) lemon juice
  • the zest of 1 lemon
  • a small handful of roughly chopped fresh coriander

For the flat breads

  • 4 large or 8 small store-bought flatbreads
  • 30 ml (2 Tbsp) olive oil

For the koftas:

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely grated
  • 30 ml (2 Tbsp) finely chopped fresh coriander
  • 45 ml (3 Tbsp) breadcrumbs
  • 22.5 ml (1½ Tbsp) Robertsons Braai & Grill Spicy BBQ
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) Robertsons paprika
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) Robertsons coriander
  • 10 ml (2 tsp) Robertsons cumin
  • a small handful of fresh coriander, to garnish
Cooking Method
  1. Preheat your grill to medium high.

  2. First make the whipped feta. Place all the ingredients into a food processor and blend until smooth. If you don’t have a food processer, use a fork to finely crumble the feta cheese, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Set aside.

  3. Brush each flat bread on both sides with olive oil. Grill the flat breads on a medium-high heat, on both sides, until coloured with grill lines. Set aside.

  4. To make the koftas, put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  5. Divide the mixture into eight balls, then roll them out into even ‘sausages’. Carefully push a wooden skewer lengthways through each one.

  6. Grill the koftas over a medium-high heat, turning them often, for about 5-7 minutes, or until coloured all over and cooked through.

  7. Serve your beef koftas warm with the flat breads and whipped feta. Garnish with fresh coriander.
