A celebration of local flavour and homegrown comfort, this tomato pasta is both humble and hearty. Bursting with tangy tomatoes, aromatic garlic and the bold warmth of Knorrox Vegetable Curry stock powder, this is the everyday pasta recipe you’ll keep coming back to especially when topped with cheese. 

Tips

Sprinkle some cheddar or parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh basil before serving. 

Ingredients
  • 300 g spaghetti or pasta of your choice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 4 chopped ripe tomatoes (or 1 tin diced tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp Knorrox vegetable curry stock powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 250 g grated cheddar or Parmesan to serve
  • A handful of fresh basil for garnish
Cooking Method

Cook the pasta

  1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes. )

  2. Drain and set aside, reserving ¼ cup of pasta water.

Make the sauce

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan.

  2. Sauté onion until soft.

  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  4. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, Knorrox stock powder and seasoning.

  5. Simmer uncovered for 15- 20 minutes.

  6. Add a splash of pasta water if needed.

Combine & Serve

  1. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce and coat well. Plate, sprinkle with cheese and fresh basil and serve with love.
