What is Veganuary all About?

The phrase, ‘Veganuary’ was first coined in the UK in 2014 as a way to promote the benefits of veganism as well as to educate people on how easy to prepare and delicious vegan food can be. Veganuary in South Africa is now a ‘thing’ and many people are taking up the Veganuary Challenge by opting to take on a vegan-lifestyle for the month of January.

What Does Veganuary Mean?

What is Veganuary? Veganuary is a quirky, new name given to January to encourage people to try a vegan lifestyle and way of eating for a month. Veganuary is a novel way of getting even the fiercest of meat-eaters to try something different. It’s also about educating people on how delicious and nutritious a vegan diet can be, as well as how environmentally impactful it is.
