A delicious meal with a touch of heat introduced by the cayenne pepper. Can be enjoyed alone or with alternative sides such as rice or nachos.
Ingredients
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) lime juice
  • 62.5 ml (¼ cup) olive oil
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) crushed garlic and herbs
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Robertsons BBQ spice
  • 5 ml (1tsp) Robertsons cayenne pepper
  • 5 ml (1tsp) Robertsons coarse black pepper
  • 500 g rib eye steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 Robot peppers chopped into strips
  • 250 ml (1 cup) sour cream or Knorr blue cheese salad dressing
  • 6 mini tortillas, sautéed in butter
Cooking Method
  1. In one bowl, combine the lime juice, half of the olive oil, garlic & herbs, Robertsons spices, and mix well. Place your steak, toss to combine and marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. Heat a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side. Once cooked, remove from the heat and place on a chopping board. Allow the steak to rest.

  3. Using the same pan, heat the remaining oil over medium-high heat. Add onion, robot peppers and saute for 4 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  4. When the onion and robot peppers are just about done, slice the steak into long strips. Add the steak back to the pan, stir everything together and cook for 2 minutes.

  5. Serve on mini tortillas topped with sour cream or Knorr Blue Cheese Salad Dressing.
