A quick, tasty, super-moist banana bread recipe with chopped walnuts. The Hellmann's® Original Mayonnaise raises this dish to a new level. 
Ingredients
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 210 g or 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 250 ml or 1 cup Hellmann's Original Mayonnaise
  • 5 ml or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 175 ml or 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 175 ml or 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 10 ml or 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2.5 ml or tsp. salt
  • 125 g or 1 cup halved walnuts, chopped
Cooking Method
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease bread tin (20cmx5cm) with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.

  2. Whisk egg, brown sugar, bananas, Hellmann's Original Mayonnaise and vanilla in large bowl until blended; set aside.

  3. Combine flours, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir in 3/4 cup walnuts. Fold into banana mixture just until combined.

  4. Turn into prepared pan; smooth top.

  5. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup walnuts.

  6. Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.

  7. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
