Banana Bread
A quick, tasty, super-moist banana bread recipe with chopped walnuts. The Hellmann's® Original Mayonnaise raises this dish to a new level.

Ingredients
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 210 g or 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 250 ml or 1 cup Hellmann's Original Mayonnaise
- 5 ml or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 175 ml or 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 175 ml or 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 10 ml or 2 tsp. baking powder
- 2.5 ml or tsp. salt
- 125 g or 1 cup halved walnuts, chopped
Preparation method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease bread tin (20cmx5cm) with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
- Whisk egg, brown sugar, bananas, Hellmann's Original Mayonnaise and vanilla in large bowl until blended; set aside.
- Combine flours, baking powder and salt in medium bowl; stir in 3/4 cup walnuts. Fold into banana mixture just until combined.
- Turn into prepared pan; smooth top.
- Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup walnuts.
- Bake 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean.
- Cool on wire rack 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely.
Make even yummier by stirring in 1/2 cup chocolate or peanut butter!
