Prawn and Bacon Sweet Chilli Kebabs

Succulent prawns wrapped in crispy bacon and basted with a sweet chilli sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 wooden skewers
  • 2 cloves crushed garlic
  • 100 ml KNORR Creamy Sweet Chilli Salad Dressing
  • 30 ml fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 18 large sized prawns, peeled and deveined with tails intact
  • 9 rashers bacon, cut in half crossways

Method

  • Soak the skewers in water first to prevent them from burning while cooking
  • In a bowl combine the garlic, KNORR Creamy Sweet Chilli Salad Dressing and coriander
  • Add the prawns to the sauce and allow to marinade in the fridge for one hours
  • Wrap each prawn in a piece of bacon then thread onto skewers – three prawns per skewer. Reserve the sweet chilli sauce for basting
  • Braai over hot coals or under a grill for about 5 – 8 minutes or until the bacon is crispy on the outside and the prawns are pink on the inside. Baste continuously with the sauce while braaing
