Everyone loves it chicken and mushroom casserole

  • 1 sachet Knorr Creamy Mushroom Sauce
  • 125ml cream
  • 250ml water
  • 125ml mayonnaise
  • 125ml chutney
  • 8 chicken thighs
  • Robertson’s Atlantic Sea Salt & Black Pepper
  • 15ml oil
  • 250g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, finely sliced


  • Preheat oven to 180°C
  • Place the chicken thighs, skin side up in an oven proof dish
  • Season with Robertson’s Atlantic Sea Salt and Black Pepper and cook in the oven for 20 minutes until well browned
  • Remove dish from oven and drain off any excess fat
  • In a bowl mix together the Knorr Creamy Mushroom Sauce, cream, water, mayonnaise and chutney until combined
  • Heat oil in a pan and lightly fry the onions and mushrooms for 5 minutes
  • Scatter the onions and mushrooms over the chicken pieces, then pour over the sauce
  • Cook in the oven for 30 minutes until golden brown on top and the sauce has thickened
  • Serve with rice
