A classic Italian combination of beans, pasta and vegetables in a tomato broth, good food for the soul!

  • 15ml olive oil
  • 15ml margarine
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 3 carrots, peeled and cubed
  • 3 celery sticks, diced
  • 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 red pepper, seeded and diced
  • 250ml green beans, chopped
  • 2 tins whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1.5lt water
  • 3 KNORR Vegetable Stock Pots
  • 1 tin cannellini beans, drained
  • 60g fusilli pasta


  • Heat oil and margarine in a pot and add onions and garlic and cook till soft and golden.
  • Add the carrots, celery, potatoes, red pepper, green beans and tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the water and KNORR Vegetable Stock Pots, bring to the boil then reduce the heat and allow to simmer partially covered for 45 minutes
  • Add the cannellini beans and pasta, and bring to the boil for 12 minutes
  • Serve garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley
