This richly flavoured,smoky pasta dish is easy to prepare and easy on the budget!

  • 400g cooked spaghetti, drained
  • 15ml sunflower oil
  • 2 red peppers, sliced
  • 250g diced bacon
  • 2.5ml Robertsons Crushed Chillies
  • 400ml low fat milk
  • 1 sachet KNORR Bacon Carbonara Flavour Pasta Sauce
  • Parmesan cheese, grated


  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the peppers on a medium heat until soft and the skins have a charred appearance, this may take in excess of 10 minutes
  • Add the bacon to the pan with the crushed chillies and fry until crispy
  • Add the milk and the contents of the sachet of KNORR Bacon Carbonara Flavour Pasta Sauce and stir to combine
  • Allow to simmer for 5 minutes stirring occasionally until the sauce has thickened slightly
  • Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce and divide between four bowls and top with grated Parmesan cheese
