Who needs to eat canned tomato soup from the pantry cupboard when you make this easy tomato soup? The addition of chickpeas and feta gives it a gourmet touch and delicious flavour!

  • 1 Tin chickpeas, drained
  • 800 ml Water
  • 1 Tin chopped tomatoes
  • 2 Medium carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 5 ml Robertsons Paprika
  • 2 Onions, diced
  • 1 Clove crushed garlic
  • 5 ml Robertsons Cumin
  • 1 Tin tomato purée
  • 2 KNORR Chicken Stock Pot
  • 15 ml Brown sugar
  • Feta cheese to serve
  • 15 ml Olive oil


  • Fry onions in oil until soft then add the garlic, Robertsons Paprika, Robertsons Cumin and carrots and fry for a further 2 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Add the tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, Knorr Chicken Stock Pots, water and sugar.
  • Allow to simmer for 20-25 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Add the chickpeas and carry on simmering for 10 minutes.
  • Blend the soup briefly so it is still chunky.
  • Serve sprinkled with feta.
