An 'Old Favourite' Healthy Broccoli Salad

Onions, raisons and pecan nuts give this old broccoli favourite a great new flavour. For extra appeal sprinkle with bacon bits.

Ingredients

  • 2 KNORR Light Greek Salad Dressing
  • 2 tablespoon Fat-free milk
  • 83.1 millilitre Mayonnaise
  • 83.1 millilitre Chopped pecans or sunflower seeds
  • ½ cup Raisins
  • 1 Small red onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 Large head broccoli
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 125 gram Bacon, chopped and fried until crisp
  • 2 tablespoon KNORR Light Greek Salad Dressing

Instructions

  1. Cut broccoli into small florets and place into a large bowl.
  2. Add onion, raisins and pecans.
  3. Blend mayonnaise, milk and KNORR Greek Salad Dressing until smooth and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour dressing over salad.
  5. Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
  6. Crumble bacon bits over just before serving.
  7. Serve as an accompaniment to a braai or with a lightly grilled piece of fish and new potatoes.
