Steak and Vegetable Pie
Everyone in the family will love this tasty beef and vegetable pie with a golden pastry topping.

Ingredients
- • 750g stewing beef
- • 1 red onion, chopped
- • 400ml water
- • 1 roll puff pastry
- • 25ml oil
- • 1 sachet KNORR Oxtail Soup
- • 250g frozen mixed vegetables
- • 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Brown meat in oil and add onion
- Mix KNORR Soup powder and 400ml water and add to the meat and onions
- Cover and gently simmer for 1 hour until the meat is tender
- Add the vegetables and simmer for an extra 30 minutes
- Season to taste
- Pour into a pie dish and allow to cool
- Roll out the pastry and cover the pie dish
- Trim the edges and cut 2 slits in the centre of the pie to allow the steam to escape
- Brush with beaten egg and bake at 220°C for 15-20 minutes
